Fundraising Events & Activities
Running or skydiving; coffee mornings or collection tins – there are hundreds of ways you can help raise funds for ActionAid. On your own, with friends through school or work. The money you raise can make a real difference to the lives of some of the world’s poorest people.
Support ActionAid’s Priority Projects...
Welcome to Priority Projects, four life changing ActionAid projects in vital need of funding. Right this minute all over the world there are people – most often vulnerable women and children – waking up every day without food, water, education, healthcare, or even a place of safety.
This is your chance to help change that.
View our Priority Projects, request a pack and create your personal fundraising website for ActionAid on mycharity.ie and make a permanent difference to some of the most vulnerable people in the world.
Raising funds with friends or on your own
You could give up one of your vices such as crisps or chocolate and get friends to sponsor your new found virtue.
You could make and sell cakes, clear out your junk for a car boot sale, or use your skills for a fundraising event with a difference.
You could organise a collection at your place of worship, work or community centre.
Whether it's weird and wacky or quiet and serious - whatever you do, make sure you have fun doing it! Take a look at our A-Z of fundraising and get in touch.

School Fundraising
A fundraising event can be educational and fun, whilst helping raise vital funds for our work. Staff and pupils in schools throughout Ireland have taken part in a wide range of activities - including sponsored runs, cake sales, dance events and second hand sales.
Along the way, they have not only raised money for some of the poorest communities in the world, but also learned about how people live in other parts of the world, the challenges they face and how they try to overcome them.
How to get your school involved?
There are a variety of ways that your school can get involved in fundraising for ActionAid:
You can pick an event of your choice and raise funds for our global fund - to support the work we do with some of the World's poorest communities wherever the need is greatest . If you are stuck for ideas download our A-Z of fundraising ideas or contact us and we can give you some help and advice on how to make your event a success.
If you would prefer to pick a theme or country to support you can support one of our two Priority Projects or if you are looking for a longer term commitment you could sponsor a child.
If you would like to discuss your ideas further do please get in touch.
