Fund a specific project
‘ActionAid's approach of working directly with communities, ensuring delivery of the required training & infrastructure in a way that is sensitive and respectful, to the traditions of the people, had always impressed us' Aodan Clarke.
Aodan & Anne Clarke are ActionAid child sponsors. With strong family connections in Kenya for over 50 years, they wanted to fund a specific project that would make lasting change. With ActionAid, the perfect project for the Clarkes to fund was identified - a girls dormitory to provide girls with safe access to education.
On 17th March 2010, Aodan visited Kongelai to see construction of the dormitory, meet the school girls and community who will benefit, and tells why they chose to work with ActionAid Ireland. Watch his visit documented here.
If you would like to discuss opportunities to fund a specific project with ActionAid, please contact our CEO, Olga McDonogh on 01 8787 911.
We're here to help so please get in touch.
